Meet your instructors
You are trusting someone to sit beside you while you learn. Here is who that is. All our instructors are fully qualified to teach automatic (C-A) and manual (C) classes in Western Australia, and they work right across the metro area, north and south of the river.
Owner & instructor
The person behind it
Steve, the person behind Driving School WA
Steve has been teaching Perth to drive since 2001. He holds every class of driver's licence, including heavy vehicle, drove for the military, and worked as a driver for the United Nations in the 1990s. That is a lot of kilometres in a lot of conditions, and it shows in how he reads the road and explains it.
He is also the person you will often speak to when you call or book. If you want a quick, honest read on how many lessons you are likely to need, ask him.
Our instructors
The team you will learn with
We work with a team of male and female instructors so you can ask for whoever you feel most comfortable learning with.
Every one of our instructors:
- Holds a current WA C-class driver's licence and an accredited instructor licence
- Has passed a National Police Clearance and holds a Working with Children Card
- Teaches in a dual-control car that is fully insured and inspected by the Department of Transport every year
- Knows the test routes around the licensing centre you will sit your assessment at
Prefer a female instructor?
Many learners prefer to learn with a female instructor, and we have female instructors covering all areas. Just ask when you book.

Driving instructor jobs
We take on enthusiastic, patient instructors between 21 and 75 who communicate well and want steady work. You can keep your own clients and affiliate with us for extra leads. We can help you get qualified if you are not already.
